If you’re gluten-free, especially if you’re newly gluten-free, you may find it hard to keep your snack rotation interesting. There are those foods that are naturally gluten-free, like meat, cheese, vegetables, and fruits. But some of the more popular snacks like crackers, cookies, and pretzels typically contain gluten.
Below are 25 of the best gluten-free snacks based on my years of living gluten-free. These are above and beyond cheese and fruit, they’re all easy to pack into your bag for work or travel, and bonus – they’re all dairy-free as well!
If you’re not signed up for Thrive Market, I highly recommend it. Especially if you’re following a specific diet like gluten-free, keto, organic, vegan, etc. I find their prices to be much lower than my local grocery store on the items I purchase there. For example, Hippeas are $4.69 at my grocery store and $3.49 at Thrive. Terra chips are $4.99 at my store and $3.49 at Thrive.
If you buy even two snacks a week (and let’s be honest, are we really only buying two snacks a week?), you’re saving at least $100 a year. The annual membership fee is just under $60, and with my link below you get $60 in free groceries when you sign up so it pays for itself on your first order.

1. Simple Mills, Sweet Thins, Chocolate Brownie
If I’m opting for a sweet treat, it’s almost always some species of chocolate. Brownies definitely top the list. These thin, crispy chocolate brownies are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth and also contain wholesome ingredients – no artificial flavorings, colors, or preservatives.

2. Chocolate-covered Almonds
If peanut butter and chocolate are crowned the dream couple, then dark chocolate and almonds are the runners up. The only downside of these delectable little nuggets is that you’ll want to eat the whole bag. I suggest only getting a handful out of the bag for eating, then putting the rest of the bag somewhere out of reach.
3. SmartFood White Cheddar Popcorn
Can something really be addictively delicious and low-calorie at the same time? SmartFood says, “Yes!” This is another snack that’s really hard to stop once you’ve started, but at only 70 calories per cup, you won’t feel too guilty for indulging. It’s also free from artificial flavorings, colors, and preservatives.
4. Kind Bars
Kind has a variety of snack bars to choose from. They are all made from nutritionally-dense ingredients with no artificial flavors, preservatives, or sweeteners. My favorite is the peanut butter dark chocolate. It’s as if Snickers grew up, got in shape, and became a healthier version of itself. You should try it. You’ll thank me later.
5. Chomps Beef Jerky
Beef jerky is a great snack because it works with almost all diets – gluten-free, dairy-free, keto, low-carb, and others. Chomps brand is also free of soy, added sugar, added nitrates or nitrites, MSG, artificial preservatives or coloring, and artificial sweeteners. If you like a little fire in your mouth, try the jalapeño flavor – it’s my favorite. If you don’t like spicy then you can choose the original flavor.

6. Hippeas
If the puffy version of Chester Cheetah and a ‘70s flower child had a baby, it would be Hippeas. Like their father, they’re puffy, crunchy, cheesy, and gratifying. But like their mother, they’re all-natural, organic, and plant-based. All of the deliciousness without all of the artificial stuff? Yes, please!

7. Pistachios
I feel like pistachios are underrated. They’re like the last ones chosen when picking teams for the dodgeball game. Almonds, cashews, and pecans are on the A team, but frankly, I like pistachios better. I prefer them in the shell, but you can get them shelled as well. They’re salty, crunchy, healthy, and delicious.

8. Blue Diamond Almond Nut Thins Hint of Sea Salt
One thing I really missed when I went gluten-free was crackers. Every party or get-together we attend has crackers set out, and I’m a sucker for a good charcuterie. When I found these, my life seemed complete again. The flavor is good, but what really shines in these little rounds of deliciousness is the CRISPINESS. I don’t miss regular crackers at all after discovering these.
9. Coconut Chocolate Chip Larabars
If you like chocolate, chewy, coconut-y goodness, this will be your jam. It’s made of just five clean, whole ingredients: dates, semi-sweet chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut, cashews, and almonds. If you’re thinking to yourself, “Hmmm, I’m not sure about dates,” don’t worry. They really just give it the chewiness and add some sweetness. I can’t taste the dates.
10. Bare Baked Organic Apple Chips
If you’ve ever wondered whether you could actually crave apples, then you’ve never tried these tasty little chips. They’re the sweet, crispy, sassy, little sisters to Fuji. And there’s only one ingredient.

11. Harvest Snaps Green Pea Snack Crisps
These have a surprisingly pleasing, crunchy texture. Yet they’re baked, not fried. If you don’t like the taste of peas, then obviously steer clear. But if you don’t mind peas, and you’re craving something crunchy and salty, yet healthy, these are a great option! They have no artificial flavors or preservatives.

12. Terra Real Vegetable Chips, Sea Salt
Is there such a thing as a sophisticated, gourmet chip? Yes – it’s called Terra. In fact, these chips were created over 20 years ago by two New York Chefs, and their patrons were obsessed. Terra includes a variety of root vegetables vacuum fried to perfectly crunchy chips. Vegetables like taro, sweet potato, batata, parsnip, and beets have a delightful texture that is a bit thicker than a typical potato chip.

13. Siete, Nacho Grain Free Tortilla Chips
If you’ve had Doritos on speed dial but have had to block them since the beginning of the year (damn resolutions!), then these are your new BFFs. Are they truly as delicious as Doritos? Eh – that’s debatable. Are they almost as delicious yet will pass your resolution test? Yes, indeed. Not only are they gluten-free, but they’re also dairy-free, vegan, non-GMO and paleo. Olè!
14. Sprouted Organic Pumpkin Seeds, Sea Salt
If you’ve never tried pumpkin seeds, stop what you’re doing and go buy these now. They’re so yummy. They’re sprouted and dried, not baked, roasted, or fried. A good source of healthy fats, these seeds are great on their own as a snack or sprinkled on top of salads or avocado toast.

15. Quinn Creamy Peanut Butter-Filled Pretzel Nuggets
Pretty much anything with peanut butter is a win in my book, and if you’re the same, you’re sure to love these. It tastes exactly as you’d expect. If you were to dip pretzel crisps into peanut butter, this would be the result. Mostly salty, with a little bit of sweetness.
16. Mavuno Harvest, Organic Dried Pineapple
If you have a sweet tooth, these soft chewy, dried pineapple chunks are sure to hit the spot. You’ll feel like you’re eating candy, but pineapple is the only ingredient. Just watch your serving size – 1/3 cup has 140 calories.

17. Sahale Snacks, Pomegranate Pistachio Glazed Mix
The first time I had these, I walked into the vending area at work looking for a healthy, gluten-free snack. I was feeling a little deflated looking at the shelves of cookies, chips, Pop-tarts, and Cheezits. I picked up a bag of these pistachio snacks without high expectations. I love pistachios and all, but I was looking for more of a treat that day. And let me tell you, these sweet, heavenly little nuts delivered.

18. Wholly Classic Guacamole Mini 100 Calorie Cups
Who doesn’t love guacamole? These are a perfect little size to tuck into your work bag for an afternoon snack. The healthy fat in this guacamole will keep your hunger at bay until dinner time. (These are not available on Amazon. I typically can find them at my local grocery store).
19. Power Up Trail Mix
This protein-packed trail mix is keto, paleo, and vegan-friendly. It’s non-GMO and contains no artificial ingredients. This mix contains almonds, cashews, dried cherries, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, and raisins. It’s perfect for pre- or post-workout or just as a snack to keep you full until your next meal.
20. Quaker Chocolate Crunch Rice Cakes
If you’re craving chocolate but don’t want the calories, these chocolate rice cakes are a perfect option. You’ll get the taste of chocolate, but they’re only 60 calories each. You can get them on Amazon, but I’d recommend checking with your local grocery store first. Amazon only sells them in bulk.
21. Tate’s Bake Shop Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Looking for a little indulgence? These cookies by Tate’s Bake Shop are another great choice for your sweet tooth. It’s hard to give up chocolate chip cookies when you go gluten-free, but now you don’t have to!

22. Mussleman’s Cinnamon Applesauce
Take the inside of a cinnamon apple crisp, pulse it in the food processor for 10 seconds, and you essentially get this Mussleman’s cinnamon applesauce. It’s like dessert, but seemingly healthier since it’s in a little fruit cup. But let’s be honest with ourselves, it’s the same darn ingredients. 😊 You’re better off getting them at your grocery store, but here’s a picture and description from Amazon.
23. Oui Coconut Raspberry Yogurt
Do you ever have one of those creamy desserts that you want to swirl around on your tongue for a bit before swallowing it because you want to savor it? This yogurt is it for me. It’s made from coconut milk, so is dairy-free. The raspberries are on the bottom, so you blend it together first and then it’s *chef’s kiss!
24. Olives
Oh heavenly, briny fruit of the Olea europaea (aka, olive tree)! If it’s something savory you’re craving, perhaps one of the many varieties of olives will satiate your desire. Additionally, they’re one of the healthiest sources of fat!
25. Heavenly Hunks Organic Oatmeal Dark Chocolate
These delectable little hunks of oats, dark chocolate, and coconut are the perfect snack when you’re wanting a treat. Made with all real ingredients and gluten-free oats, they’re a great, guilt-free alternative to cookies.
So there you have it. I hope you got some new gluten-free snack ideas to add to your list! If you have other gluten-free favorite snacks that aren’t on this list, please share them in the comments below.
